Definition

“In the Landscape and Ornamental Plants associate degree program, courses are given under two main headings: landscape design/planning and ornamental plants. It is a four-semester higher education program that offers students job opportunities in the public sector, private sector and entrepreneurship, and aims to train qualified intermediate staff. Our Vocational School started its activities as formal education for the first time in the 2012-2013 academic year. He still continues formal education. The program quota is 35 people. The language of education is Turkish.

Purpose

The aim of this program is to reach the level of contemporary manners and knowledge required by the 4th Industrial Revolution, with the understanding of a research academic staff with original values, public institutions, municipalities, landscape architecture project and application offices, construction companies, active in the field of landscaping and ornamental plants and engaged in outdoor landscaping. Able to work in public institutions and organizations such as nurseries and greenhouses that produce and sell ornamental plants, as well as establishing their own application and production companies, with advanced landscape design skills, with a creative, objective and analytical mindset, who will sign innovative initiatives that respect social values, and who is an expert in their field. to train intermediate staff. In this regard, students' knowledge and skills are increased by field studies and practical production in addition to theoretical courses.

Target

It is aimed that the graduates of the program, as a trained workforce potential, will serve as intermediate staff who follow the current developments in the national and international platforms regarding the landscape and ornamental plants sector in which they will work, have high communication skills, have full self-confidence, are enterprising, innovative and experts in their field.

Therefore, our aim is to train Landscape and Ornamental Plants Technicians who have high professional knowledge, are innovative, productive, enterprising, have high social and technical communication skills, and are prone to the ability to read and implement landscape plans.

A Landscape and Ornamental Plants Technician takes part in the installation, operation and organization of landscape and ornamental plants facilities, in addition to general duties such as production, planning, organization and supervision within the business, as well as assisting Landscape Architects in the design, plan and implementation stages of landscape planning and the use of ornamental plants. has the necessary knowledge and skills in terms of

Degree Earned

Students who complete the Landscape and Ornamental Plants Program are entitled to receive an associate degree and the title of "Landscape and Ornamental Plants Technician".
